CBC Radio was recognized with 18 medals at the New York Festivals awards at a gala ceremony Monday night.

The New York Festivals  Awards, held in New York, recognize the best in international radio, whether local, network or independent, from more than 30 countries around the world.

This year, Ideas tops CBC's win list with a total of four medals, including three golds.

CBC Radio won five gold, eight silver and five bronze awards in addition to seven finalist certificates.
