Frankie MacDonald is an amateur weather forecaster from Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia who has become famous for his enthusiastic predictions. Frankie, who has autism, posted a YouTube video earlier this week warning of a massive storm heading for his home province this Sunday.

As It Happens host Carol Off asked Frankie more about his YouTube channel. "I want to make everyone in the world safe. I want everyone to be prepared," he said.

Frankie has amassed over eleven million YouTube views and has even been featured on the Comedy Central show Tosh.O. But sometimes people can say unkind things. Frankie's advice? "I ignore negative people. I ignore negative comments."

Without missing a beat, Frankie says these are the biggest storms he's reported on: "Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the massive blizzard that hit Nova Scotia on February 9th, 2013; Hurricane Isaac that hit New Orleans on August 29th, 2012; Hurricane Sandy that hit the state of New York on October 30th, 2012; and my most viewed video on my YouTube channel that got well over 430,000 hits, the major storm that hit South Dakota on Friday, October 4th, 2013."

Frankie says it is going to be a wet spring. He says central United States should expect severe weather.

And finally, here is Frankie's advice for the upcoming storm this weekend:"Do your grocery shopping. Don't wait til the last minute. Do it right now.

"Order your pizzas, order your Chinese foods. Five cases of Pepsi, five cases of Coke. Make sure you have your iPads charged, iPods charged, cell phones charged, laptops charged and have your 3G and 4G ready."
