Westmount St-Louis riding contains that part of Montreal bounded by: Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Chemin Remembrance, Voie Camillien-Houde, Avenue du Mont-Royal Ouest, Avenue de l'Esplanade, Rachel W., St-Laurent Boulevard, Boulevard René-Lévesque Est, Sanguinet and its extension, St-Antoine Est, St-Antoine Ouest and the boundary of Westmount and Montreal.

Redistribution:
Riding created in 1992 redistribution from: parts of Westmount, St-Louis and Ste-Anne ridings.

In 2001 redistribution:

  • kept 85% of riding; 15% moved to Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne;

  • lost, in south, to St-Henri-Sainte-Anne - that part of Montreal bounded by: St-Antoine Ouest, McGill, Rue de la Commune Ouest, Bonaventure Autoroute, Lachine Canal and Atwater (7,811 electors)

  • LIB KEVIN DRUMMOND won in 1970, 1973. Minister of Lands & Forests, 1970-75; Minister of Agriculture, 1975-76.

  • In 1976, LIB GEORGE SPRINGATE won. (Won in Ste-Anne in 1970, 1973)

  • LIB RICHARD FRENCH won in 1981 and 1985. Appointed Minister of Communications in Dec. 1985; added Minister responsible for Tech Devin 1988; Minister of Supply and Services, Oct. 12, 1988 - Dec. 21, 1988.  Resigned portfolio Dec. 21, 1988 over Bill 178.

  • In 1989, EP RICHARD HOLDEN defeated LIB WILLIAM COSGROVE by 513 votes.
