Rouyn-Noranda T�miscamingue riding contains the following municipalities: Angliers, B�arn, Belleterre, Duhamel-Ouest, Fug�reville, Gu�rin, Kipawa, Laforce, Latulipe-et-Gaboury, Laverloch�re, Lorrainville, Moffet, N�d�lec, Notre-Dame-du-Nord, R�migny, Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, Saint-�douard-de-Fabre, Saint-Eug�ne-de-Guigues, T�miscaming and Ville-Marie.

It also contains that part of the Ville de Rouyn-Noranda corresponding to the following municipalities as they existed up until December 31, 2001: Rouyn-Noranda, Arntfield, Bellecombe, Cl�ricy, Cloutier, D Alembert, Destor, �vain, McWatters, Montbeillard, Mont-Brun and Rollet.

The First Nation settlements of Hunters Point and Winneway and the First Nation reserves of Kebaowek and Timiskaming are also in the riding.

Redistribution:
Riding created in 1980 from parts of Rouyn-Noranda and Pontiac-T�miscaminque.
Only minor change in 1992 redistribution.

In 2001 redistribution:
  • gained in east, from Abitibi-East, that part of the municipality of McWatters that was in riding (11 electors).

  • In 1981, PQ GILLES BARIL defeated NOW LIBERAL CAMIL SAMSON by 3,915 votes.

  • In 1985, LIB GILLES BARIL defeated PQ GILLES BARIL by 1,385 votes.

  • In 1989, PQ REMY TRUDEL defeated LIB GILLES BARIL by 66 votes.

  • In 1994, PQ TRUDEL defeated LIB MONIQUE TREMBLAY by 7,372 votes. Appointed Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister responsible for Abitibi-T�miscamingue region, Jan. 29 1996; Minister responsible for Nord-du-Qu�bec region, Jan. 29 - June 19, 1996.
