Rousseau electoral district contains the following municipalities: L'Épiphanie, Rawdon, Saint-Alexis, Saint-Calixte, Saint-Esprit, Sainte-Julienne, Saint-Lin-Laurentides, Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Saint-Roch-Ouest and Sainte-Sophie.

It also contains that part of the Ville de L'Assomption corresponding to the Paroisse de Saint-Gérard-Majella as it existed up until June 30, 2000.

Redistribution:
Riding created in 1980 from parts of L'Assomption, Joliette-Montcalm and Prévost ridings.

In redistribution before 1989 election, moved parts of riding to Terrebonne and Prévost ridings, keeping 88.14% of old riding.

In 1992 redistribution, lost 14,764 electors to Bertrand.
Gained parts of Joliette, L'Assomption and Masson.

In 2001 redistribution:

  • kept 99.3% of riding; .7% moved to Bertrand;

  • lost to Bertrand - from north - that part of Municipalité de Chertsey in riding (309 electors);
