  • In 1973, LIB BERNARD PARENT defeated PQ JEAN-CLAUDE LAUZON by 3,938.

  • In 1976, PQ JEAN-GUY CARDINAL defeated LIB PARENT by 7,569 votes. (Cardinal had been elected as UN in Bagot in 1968 byelection and 1970) Cardinal was Deputy Speaker until his death.

  • In byelection Nov 14, 1979 byelection, LIB SOLANGE CHAPUT-ROLLAND was elected.

  • In 1981, PQ ROBERT DEAN defeated CHAPUT-ROLLAND by 3,054 votes.Minister of Revenue, March-December 1984; appointed Minister of Employment and Consultation, Dec. 20, 1984.

  • In 1985, LIB PAUL-ANDRE FORGET defeated PQ DEAN by 2,659 votes.

  • In 1989, LIB FORGET defeated PQ BERNARD MORIN by 3,423 votes.

  • In 1994, PQ DANIEL PAILLE defeated LIB FORGET by 4,110 votes. Minister of Industry, Commerce, Science and Technology, Minister responsible for technological development and Innovatech groups, Sept.26, 1994 to Jan. 29, 1996. Was not appointed to Cabinet by Bouchard and later resigned.
