Mille-Îles riding consists of that part of the city of Laval bounded by: the boundary of the city of Laval in the Mille-Îles river, the boundary of Laval in the rivière des Prairies, the extension  Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Street, such way, Saint-Martin East, Papineau Autoroute (19), its right of way, Lacasse Avenue, Laurentides Boulevard, Sainte-Rose Boulevard East, the CPR railway line, the division line of lots 1 and 2 of the territory of the Village de Sainte-Rose, the division line of lots 46 and 47 of the territory of the parish of Sainte-Rose and its extension in the rivière des Mille Îles.

Redistribution
Riding created in 1972 redistribution from Fabre riding.

In 1992 redistribution, kept all existing riding and added Laval polls from Vimont riding.

In 2001 redistribution:

  • kept 100% of riding; added 5% of Vimont;

  • added, from Vimont, in east, that part of Laval bounded by: Perron boulevard, right of way of Papineau autoroute, Lacasse Avenue and Laurentides Boulevard (2,748 electors).

  • In 1973, LIB BERNARD LACHANCE defeated PQ JEAN-ROCH BOIVIN by 2,188 votes.

  • In 1976, PQ GUY JORON defeated LIB LACHANCE by 10,070 votes. Appointed Minister responsible for Energy, Nov 1976; Minister of Consumer Affairs, Co-ops and Financial Institutions, Sept. 1979. Resigned from Cabinet Nov. 6, 1980; quit as MNA Feb. 26, 1981 - did not want to stay after loss of referendum.

  • In 1981, PQ JEAN-PAUL CHAMPAGNE defeated LIB JEAN-PIERRE BELISLE by 3,196 votes.

  • In 1985, LIB JEAN-PIERRE BELISLE defeated PQ CHAMPAGNE by 3,547 votes.

  • In 1989, LIB BELISLE defeated PQ LYSE LEDUC by 3,867. Resigned in May/94 - didn't like government's handling of public finances.

  • In 1994, PQ LYSE LEDUC defeated LIB CHANTAL TREMBLAY by 1,371 votes.

  • In 1998, PQ LEDUC defeated LIB SYLVAIN LEFEBVRE by 865 votes. Leduc announced on Jan.16, 2003 that she would not be running again.
