In 1973, LIB YVON PICOTTE defeated UN PAUL by 5,276 votes. LIB PICOTTE was re-elected in 1976, 1981, 1985. Appointed Minister of Recreation, Fish and Game and Minister of Tourism, Dec. 1985; Minister responsible for Fisheries, 1987.

In 1989, LIB PICOTTE defeated PQ LUC LAMBERT by 7,795 votes. Appointed Minister of Municipal Affairs responsible for Housing, Oct. 1989; Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Minister responsible for Regional Affairs, Oct. 5, 1990.

In 1994, PQ RÉMY DÉSILETS defeated LIB JEAN-PAUL DIAMOND by 2,919 votes.

In 1998, PQ DÉSILETS defeated LIB MARC RENAUD by 4,193 votes.
