In 1992 redistribution, lost Saint-Jean-de-Brebeuf polls to Frontenac.

In 2001 redistribution:
  • kept 100% of riding; added 3% of Frontenace; .07% of Chutes-de-la-Chaudière;
  • gained from Frontenac-Saint-Ferdinand and Sainte-Sophie-d Halifax (2164 electors).
  • gained from Chutes-de-la-Chaudière - the part of the municipality of Saint-Apollinaire in the riding (45 electors).

  • In 1973, LIB GEORGES-J-P. MASSICOTTE defeated PC BELAND by 3,744 votes.

  • In 1976, UN RODRIGUE BIRON defeated LIB MASSICOTTE by 6,713 votes. Biron elected UN leader, May 23, 1976. Resigned as Leader and MNA on March 3, 1980. Sat as Independent until Nov. 11, 1980 when he joined the PQ.

  • In 1981, NOW PQ RODRIGUE BIRON defeated LIB JEAN TREMBLAY by 1,365 votes.
    Appointed Minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism, Apr. 30, 1981; Minister of Industry & Commerce, Sept. 1984 and Dec. 1985.

  • In 1985, LIB LEWIS CAMDEN defeated PQ BIRON by 1,945 votes.
  • In 1989, LIB CAMDEN defeated PQ ALONZO LE BLANC by 5,593 votes.
  • In 1994, PQ JEAN-GUY PARÉ defeated incumbent LIB CAMDEN by 283 votes.
  • In 1998, PQ PARÉ defeated LIB CHRISTIAN LESSARD by 2,348 votes.
