  • 87% JEANNE-MANCE; 48% VIGER (13% of Jeanne-Mance to Viau)

  • kept area of St-Léonard in the riding (32,474 electors);

  • lost to Viau, that part of Montreal bounded by: border of Montreal with St-Léonard, D'Hérelle Street and Pie-IX Boulevard (5,226 electors);

  • added, in east, western part of Viger - area bounded by the Metropolitan and border of St-Léonard with Anjou and Montreal (17,511 electors).

  • LIB AIME BRISSON won in 1962 (in Montreal-Jeanne-Mance) and in Jeanne-Mance in 1966, 1970, 1973.

  • In 1976, PQ HENRI-E. LABERGE defeated LIB AIME BRISSON by 4,606 votes.

  • In 1981, LIB MICHEL BISSONNET defeated PQ LABERGE by 6,180 votes. LIB BISSONNET was re-elected in 1985, 1989 and 1994.

  • In 1998, LIB BISSONNET defeated PQ ROBERT LA ROSE by 17,890 votes.
