In 1976, PQ JOCELYNE OUELLETTE defeated LIB PARENT by 2 votes. Appointed Minister of Public Works and Supply, July 1977.

In 1981, LIB GILLES ROCHELEAU defeated PQ OUELLETTE by 456 votes. (Rocheleau had been defeated as UN candidate in Gatineau in 1970) In 1985, LIB ROCHELEAU defeated PQ GILLES MORAIS by 7,434 votes. Minister responsible of Supply and Services, 1985.(Rocheleau resigned in 1988 to run federally as Liberal. He switched to BQ and was defeated in 1993 election)
