In 1981, PQ ELIE FALLU, incumbent from Terrebonne, ran here and defeated LIB NOLAN FILIATRAULT by 6,074. Appointed Minister responsible for Citizens Relations and responsible for Handicapped in Dec. 1984; Minister of Cultural Communities & Immigration, Oct. to Dec. 1985.

In 1985, LIB MADELEINE BLEAU defeated PQ FALLU by 621 votes. In 1989, LIB BLEAU defeated PQ ROBERT DEAN by 1,305 votes. (Dean had been elected in Prevost in 1981; defeated there in 1986)

In 1994, PQ ROBERT KIEFFER defeated LIB MONIQUE RICHER by 2,637 votes.
