  • New riding in 1981 (created from Terrebonne)

  • In 1981, PQ ELIE FALLU, incumbent from Terrebonne, ran here and defeated LIB NOLAN FILIATRAULT by 6,074 votes. Appointed Minister of Citizens Relations, responsible for Handicapped, Dec/84.

  • In 1985, LIB MADELEINE BLEAU defeated PQ FALLU by 621 votes.

  • In 1989, LIB BLEAU defeated PQ ROBERT DEAN by 1,305 votes.

    TERREBONNE

  • LIB DENIS HARDY won in 1970 (by 12,467) and 1973 (by 3,984 votes). Hardy appointed Minister of Cultural Affairs in Nov. 1973.

  • In 1976, PQ ELIE FALLU defeated LIB HARDY by 7,899 votes.

  • In 1981, PQ YVES BLAIS won by 8981; won in 1985 by 5,678 votes.

  • In 1989, PQ JOCELYNE CARON defeated LIB MARCEL LORRAIN by 2,940 votes.

    BLAINVILLE:

  • In 1994, PQ CELINE SIGNORI defeated LIB MARIO MASSIE by 5,813 votes.

  • In 1998, PQ SIGNORI defeated LIB PIERRE SAUCIER by 7,973 votes. Signori resigned on July 8, 2001 to create a vacancy for Richard Legendre who was appointed to Cabinet without being elected.
