In 1976, PQ ADRIEN OUELLETTE defeated LIB DENIS SYLVAIN by 412 votes.

In 1981, PQ OUELLETTE defeated LIB PAUL-EMILE DESCHENES by 4,828 votes.
Ouellette appointed Minister of Environment in Sept. 1982.

In 1985, LIB JEAN AUDET defeated PQ OUELLETTE by 4,855 votes.

In 1989, LIB AUDET defeated PQ HUGUES LABBE by 6,094 votes.
