VIA Rail's Quebec-Maritime passenger service in doubt

The VIA Rail route that connects Montreal to Halifax could be cancelled, if CN doesn't find an investor to buy a portion of its railway in Northern New Brunswick. We look into what this could mean for the future of rail transport in the Gaspé Peninsula, that has already lost its New Carlisle-Gaspe service, because of unsafe rail conditions.

We hear from Jim Feeny, Director of Public and Government Affairs for CN and Mylène Bélanger, spokesperson for VIA Rail. Philip Toone, the NDP MP for Gaspésie-Iles-de-la-Madeleine joins us live to weigh in on what this would mean for his constituents.

Laurent Janssen is an avalanche technician with the Avalanche Centre de la Haute-Gaspésie and tells us more.
