Snowmobilers worried over future of their industry

snowmibiles.jpgSnowmobilers warn the industry will run into a wall in a few years time. They say this is because there won't be enough volunteers, clubs are underfunded, and that there are too many kilometres of trails in the province to properly maintain. Yet, the Transport Minister Sylvain Gaudreault says the industry is running well and that he is not concerned for its future. Quebec's Traveling Journalist Marika Wheeler joined Susan Campbell in studio to bring us up to speed on the situation.

Snowmobilers eager for permanent trails in Quebec

snowmobileforweb.JPGWhen farmers blocked snowmobile access to their land a few years ago, many realized how fragile the trail network is in this province. Now, people trying to come up with a permanent trail in Quebec that would help solidify the industry.  Quebec's Traveling journalist Marika Wheeler tells us why some feel a permanent trail is so important.
