Quebec students "free" thousands of books
If you're looking forward to the summer, to sit back and enjoy a great book in the sun, there's a new way to get a hold of that epic novel. Two students from Laval University are urging people to free up their old novels and discovers new ones, through their book exchange system, called Libérez les Livres.
The idea is that you can pick up a book in a public place and when you're done with it, you leave it wherever you want for the next reader who comes along. No return dates. No late fees.
Libérez les Livres has drop-off points in cities across Quebec and just launched in Lévis. Quebec AM's Julia Page went to check out some of the free books at Cafe Babylone in Quebec City.
