Proposed revamping of Quebec's energy policy

Last year, the Ministry of Natural Resources mandated a Commission to help draft its long-awaited Energy Policy. The report from that Commission was leaked to Le Devoir newspaper over the weekend, and is recommending Hydro-Quebec abandon further construction on La Romaine hydro site.

It's also recommending the government stop any further call for tender for the development of wind energy. Normand Mousseau, Co-Chair of the Commission on Energy Issues.

Major overhaul of FTQ's Solidarity Fund

Reducing the size of Sherbrooke's government

Public consultations begin tonight on plans to reduce the size of Sherbrooke's municipal government. But the head of one of the city's boroughs, Lennoxville's David Price, won't be there. He says there is no reason to attend since he believes Sherbrooke mayor Bernard Sevigny has already made up his mind.
