Entrepreneurs dealing with suspicion and abusive clauses in contracts

The Quebec Association of Construction Entrepreneurs  is sounding the alarm over the state of the industry in the midst of the Charbonneau Commission.

In a press conference yesterday, the President of the Association, Christian Thériault, expressed his concern over the climate of suspicion that now hangs construction companies. And he says new legislation brought in by the Marois government to fight corruption is actually making it hard for companies to go to tender and even get paid within normal delays.

Joining us this morning to comment was Rose Fierimonté, President and CEO of Dorbec Construction in Montreal. She is also a board member of the association of construction entrepreneurs.

Catholic bishops worried about the proposed charter of values

However, they said some of the key measures in the charter are not acceptable. The Archbishop of Quebec City, Cyprien Lacroix, is part of the Assembly, and he joined us this morning.
