CBC is coming to New Carlisle and the Baie des Chaleurs
Susan Campbell, the host of CBC Radio's Quebec AM, and her crew will be at
New Carlisle on Tuesday January 29th to do a live show from the Community
Learning Centre at New Carlisle High School.
Since the school is celebrating a its centennial, we are taking the
opportunity to hear from the people of New Carlisle about life in the community
right now, and how it has changed. We also want to speak to many students about
what they love about living along the Baie des Chaleurs and how they see their
future in the region.
We'll be live on the air from 5:30 am until 8:37 am. And everyone is
welcome to come. We would especially love to meet parents and students.
Outdoor hockey game - Monday January 28th
Also, we want to host a hockey game the night before our show, for anyone
who wants to come out and meet Susan and the crew. (Glenn Wanamaker, one of our
journalists, is the best hockey player in our office, and he will be there).
We'll confirm the details of the game very soon. Probably from 6 until 7:30 on
Monday the 28th. We'll have hot chocolate and treats on hand.
Forum - Wednesday January 30th, Cascapedia St Jules
Please note that we are also going to host a forum on Wednesday January
30th at the community centre in Cascapedia-St-Jules from 6 pm until 830 pm. Our
question: how do we ensure a vibrant future for Anglophones living along the
Baie des Chaleurs. We will have a panel of people from various communities to
discuss this question when it comes to culture, education, the economy and
health, and everyone is welcome.
