Two Lac-Megantic residents launch a class action lawsuit
A group of Lac-Mégantic citizens is preparing a class-action lawsuit against the owners of the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway. That's after one of the railway's trains carrying dozens of tanker-cars of crude oil derailed and destroyed the town's core July 6th. More than 30 people are dead and others are still missing.
The petition was filed on behalf of two Lac Megantic men who suffered huge losses in the derailment. Our Eastern Townships reporter Sarah Rogers joined us from our Sherbrooke studios this morning to tell us more.
