Supporting Lac-Mégantic's business community
The Quebec government has put forward a sixty million dollar plan to help the residents of Lac-Mégantic manage with the consequences of July 6th devastating train wreck. Ten million dollars from that sum will go towards long-term economic aid. The province's business community has decided to add to that ongoing effort by creating a fund meant specifically for local businesses affected by the tragedy. The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec is collaborating with the local Megantic chamber of commerce in this effort. We spoke with the Federation's Vice-President, Network Support and Training, Bruno-Serge Boucher.
