Community Christmas Hamper Campaign
CBC is teaming up with Voice of English-Speaking Quebec (VEQ) and Jeffrey Hale Community Services to collect non-perishable food donations for people in need. Every year, the campaign collects enough food to send to 200 families in need during the holidays.
You can drop off your donations at our CBC studios: 888 rue St. Jean,at the corner of Honoré Mercier in Quebec City.
Some donation ideas:
- Canned goods: Soups, tuna, salmon, tomatoes, tomato sauce & paste, canned fruits and vegetables
- Pasta/macaroni & cheese
- Mustard, ketchup etc.
- Hygiene products: new toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc.
Please make sure items are not expired.
As part of the Hamper Campaign, organizers are also trying to raise $20 000 to be able to pay for fresh foods - like bread, meat, milk and fresh produce - and for grocery vouchers. To make a cash donation, call 418 684-5333 ext. 1580. That's also the number to call if you need to register for a hamper yourself. The deadline to register is Monday, November 25th.
Check back to this page for details as the campaign continues. And please, give generously to the Hamper Campaign!
