Remembering Charles Bury

charlesbury.jpgLongtime Townships journalist Charles Bury died Saturday at the age of 67, after a long battle with liver cancer. Charles' daughter Rachel is one of the people who has been supporting Charles during his long months in palliative care. Earlier this month, or Townships reporter Alison Brunette interviewed Charles about his use of marijuana in hospital. Rachel was there that day, and told us about what made her father such a celebrated man.

Throughout his career, Charles was always in the middle of issues of public interest, either as editor of the Sherbrooke Record or as a long-time board member of the Canadian Association of Journalists.

The former host of this program, Tim Belford, has known and worked with Charles Bury a long time. As has Rita Legault, as a former journalist with The Record. They joined Susan to reminisce about his life and legacy.
