The Townships truffle

jerome_quirion.JPGA new industry is cropping up in the Eastern Townships: truffles. Jérome Quirion is a biologist as well as a fruit and vegetable producer. He's been experimenting with growing Québec truffles at his family's orchard for several years now.

Our Townships reporter Alison Brunette met with him in his fields to find out just how one goes about growing a truffle.

Four awards for Wales Home in Cleveland

The Wales Home in Cleveland, in the Eastern Townships - a private not-for-profit seniors home that houses nearlt two hundred residents - is an anchor for the anglophone population in that part of the region. This year, it is being lauded for its programs, winning four awards already. Executive director Brendalee Piironen will tell us why this recognition is key for the small Townships facility, in their mission to continue setting the standard in senior care.
