Wild deer aren't so dear to Townships farmers

They've tried hot sauce, soap and synthetic urine. But farmers in the Eastern Townships says they're losing their battle against a growing number of wild deer feeding on their crops. Our Townships Correspondant Sarah Rogers speaks with some producers across the region continue to struggle with deer eating their crops.

Guitar making from scratch

Sherbrooke-20130123-00418.jpgA  group of students at Alexander Galt high school in Sherbrooke have added a new skill to their répertoire: guitar making. Last year, teacher JF Coley worked with a group of students to create their own electric guitars from scratch. Now, the final products will hit the auction block to raise money in memory of a former teacher at the school. The CBC's Sarah Rogers set out to meet with the artists and the project's instigator.

The price to pay for a good education

Students at Bishop's University have one solution on how Quebec can better fund its post-secondary institutions--by charging its students more. No one wants bigger bills, but Bishop's students council says there's a price to pay for a good education. The university's Students' Representative Council passed a resolution last week recognizing the need for Quebec students to make a greater contribution towards their post-secondary studies. Council president, Adam Peabody, explained the move to our Eastern Townships reporter Sarah Rogers.
