CBC Quebec AM at New Carlisle High School
In late January, Quebec AM hit the road to visit several places along the Baie des Chaleurs. We had a special show from New Carlisle High School. If you didn't get a chance to hear the show live, you can listen to all three parts here.
The school is celebrating its hundred year anniversary. And like most English language schools, it's an important cultural institution for the anglophone community.
In the first hour of the program we spoke with several alumni and former teachers about their experiences at the school in different eras.
In the second hour of the program we heard several points of view on learning French in the English system and the choices parents have to make. We also heard from a panel of teens about how they see their future.
Éleanne Langlois arrives at New Carlisle High School almost an hour and a half after she boards the school bus in Clemville.
The New Carlisle High School song, as performed by choral students, had its CBC Radio debut. Rose Roussy is the choir director.
