Northern Futures: Housing in Salluit
Money from XStrata's Raglan Nickel mine is helping to pay for new infrastructure, and spur on some fledgling local economic development in Salluit.
But some in town wonder why - despite the revenues from this agreement - a major problem still remains: housing.

Northern Futures: Mining & Jobs
With the Plan Nord on the horizon, mining is expected to make up the lion's share of the economy in the North.
Salluit is one of two villages that draw direct benefits from Xstrata's Raglan Nickel mine, located about 140 kilometres southeast of Salluit.
Quebec AM's Ainslie MacLellan visited Salluit to see whether there's evidence of economic spin-off from the mine.

Northern futures: Guiding Inukjuak's youth
Inukjuak is known as a village that takes pride in preserving its culture. But it's not just about clining to the past. It's about helping to shape the future for youth. The Unaaq men's association teaches traditional and modern skills to young people, to help build links between the generations.
