Cegep teachers want more recognition for extra work

Picket lines were set up in front of cegeps across the province this morning. Teachers want to address the increased workload they have taken on over the years. The Quebec Treasury Board is currently evaluating employment categories of "mixed-gender" sectors in public and parapublic services, and teachers are worried this could mean lower salaries for them. We caught up with Lisa Birch this morning. She is the union president and a teacher at Champlain-St. Lawrence College, where a symbolic picket was held before the beginning of classes.
