Ganesh Vs. the Third Reich
The Carrefour Internationale de Theatre prides itself on presenting one-of-a-kind works, whether it be with late night street performances or an all-dance play performed by actors. One of the plays that will help wrap up the festival raises the bar on distinctive theatre just a little more. "Ganesh Vs. the Third Reich" tells the story of the Hindu god with the elephant's head who travels to Nazi Germany to retrieve and protect the swastika, originally a Sanskrit symbol of well-being.
It's produced by Australia's Back to Back Theatre, a company whose actors are all people
with intellectual disabilities. Alice Nash is the troupe's executive producer.
