Subsidized daycare providers unhappy with budget cuts
The provincial government's decision to open to kindergarten classes to four year olds, paired with cuts to daycare funding effective this fall has had mixed reaction, especially from childcare providers. Bambina Gabliardi is the president of an umbrella group that represents subsidized private daycares in Quebec (the RGPQ), and tells us why they aren't happy about the changes.
