No extra funding for teen shelter in Quebec City
For the past 25 days, Le Squat Basse-Ville, the only shelter for runaway teens in the Quebec City region, has been closed. If the organization's board accepts the latest proposal put forward by the regional health agency, it will re-open in about 10 days.
But not as it was, and not with many of its previous support services. It's a tough pill to swallow for those who run the Squat and those who've received its help.
Glenn Wanamaker was down at the Squat yesterday and joined host Susan Campbell in studio to explain the situation.
