Breast Cancer Screening
Quebec's College of Physicians announced the results yesterday of its review of 22 000 breast cancer tests conducted between 2008 and 2010.
The college found 109 cases of breast cancer that had not been detected. The mammograms were from three clinics in Montreal and Laval. The radiologist in question, who practiced at those clinics, stopped practicing in October 2010, before the review began.
The College has made a number of recommendations as a result of its investigation.
