New organisation in St. Augustin to try and bring community together
The heart of the conflict in St. Augustine on the Lower North Shore is frustration that the town still doesn't have a bridge to cross the St. Augustin river. But the conflict breaks down into much more specific issues such as the leadership of the mayor and council on the issue, whether the current contract over airboat service should be continued, and the level of hostility some members of the community are showing to others.
On Thursday March 1st, a meeting was held to try to bring people together again. And it was only women who were invited to attend.
Nichole Driscoll organized that event and has started women's association in St. Augustin. She tells Shawn why she felt the need for such an organization.
