After the whirlwind success of their self-titled debut album, Mercury Prize-winning electronic pop band The xx weren't sure they'd even make a follow-up record. But after taking some time off touring, they decided to head back into the studio (or in their case, a rented flat with candles and black velvet-covered walls), resulting in their sophomore record Coexist.

The album will be released on September 11th, but before it is, The xx returns to Studio Q to give us a preview and discuss how they've grown as musicians and songwriters with more experience, increased confidence and outside expectations.
