Q's Top 20: #6 - The National

Listen

Next up on Q's Top 20 Albums of 2013 is a band that is no stranger to this show... or to our annual countdown. In fact, the Cincinnati-bred, Brooklyn-based band The National came in second our Top 20 Albums of 2011 list with their record High Violet.

This year, they come in at #6 for their latest album, Trouble Will Find Me. We love The National for their fusion of artful composition and deep introspection, with riffs and hooks that remain in your head long after you hear them. On Trouble Will Find Me, they embrace themes of love, loss, alienation, illness, redemption and revelation... the unvarnished stuff of life, handled with reverence.

Stream their interviews with us from this past year above, and check out one of their latest live appearances in Studio Q below.
