More about our debaters
Arguing for smarter: tech writer and journalist Clive Thompson. His new book is called Smarter Than You Think: How Technology is Changing Our Minds for the Better.
In it, he argues that being wired is enhancing our intelligence, as
well as making us "better connected, and often deeper -- both as
individuals and as a society."
Arguing for stupider: Steve Easterbrook, who takes the
position that the internet has negative effects on the mind that should
not be ignored. He is a professor of computer science at the University
Toronto, and co-instructor of a new course entitled The Internet:
Saving Civilization or Trashing the Planet?
