Episode 3: Heart, Amanda Palmer, and Savages.

Heart's sibling founders Ann and Nancy Wilson haven't lost their punch. Plus, the always engaging and controversial Amanda Palmer and her band The Grand Theft Orchestra perform songs off their acclaimed record 'Theatre is Evil'. And last, but not least, U.K.'s Savages power their way into studio on the success of their Mercury Prize nominated album 'Silence Yourself'.

What is Q: The Music?

Over the years, an impressive array of gifted performers have made their way through Studio Q. Collectively, they've created a music collection so good that we just can't keep it to ourselves.

We've curated our favourite and most memorable performances into a brand new weekly program, Q: The Music, hosted by Jian Ghomeshi! The show, which premiered in September, airs at 7 p.m. across Canada on CBC Radio 2.

The shows aims to showcase living legends, buzz bands, and undiscovered artists outside the mainstream.

We hope Q: The Music will be your Tuesday night go-to for a carefully curated mix of established and up-and-coming artists, from within North America and far beyond. A typical episode will feature three acts: one top-tier performer; one rising star, and one act that might fall just on the outside of the mainstream.
