He attracted much attention with The Zombie Survival Guide in 2003 - which he wrote after he "went looking for it to read it and no one had written it yet." He's since gone on to release a follow-up graphic novel about the guide; a popular apocalyptic novel, World War Z; and his recent comic book Extinction Parade.
