Helen Thomas, a trailblazing, accountability-seeking White House correspondent who grilled 10 presidents, died over the weekend at the age 92.

In honour of Thomas and her many years of service, we've gone into the Q archives to bring back Jian's 2009 conversation with the veteran journalist, as well as his opening essay about the 2010 backlash she faced for one of her most polarizing remarks.
