We're in the final stretch of Q's Top 20 Albums of 2012... and coming in at #5 is Kathleen Edwards, an artist who's been one of Canada's favourites nearly from the moment her debut album Failer was released in 2003. She followed it up with Back to Me and Asking for Flowers, which found her refining her country-rock sound. On her latest - Voyageur - the sound is different. It's expansive and adventurous, thanks in part to its producer Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver. And that's balanced out by Voyageur's particularly intimate lyrics, which explore the emotional challenges during the dissolution of marriage.
