The highly anticipated film Midnight's Children comes into the world with the strengths -- and perhaps the burdens -- of very impressive parentage. The celebrated filmmaker Deepa Mehta directs; the celebrated writer Salman Rushdie has adapted the story for the screen, from his own 1981 novel. Both Deepa Mehta and Salman Rushdie joined Jian in Studio Q to talk about the massive undertaking and the political snags along the way.
