Writer
Lily Raff McCaulou says
Bambi's anti-hunting propaganda was wrong, and hunting isn't all about the thrill of the kill.
She held the typical non-hunter's very negative views about hunting, until
she moved to Oregon and decided to pick up a gun for the first time and
learn to kill her own dinner. Now, she argues in a new book,
Call of the Mild,
that those who care about animals and the environment should let go of
their misconceptions about hunting and support hunters as the great
conservationists they are.
Are you persuaded? Are hunters unfairly stereotyped? Non-hunters: Would you kill your own dinner if you had the chance?
