Wagner has never been officially played in Israel since its formation in 1948, because of the German composer's anti-Semitic views and reputation as Hitler's favourite composer. Today, we spoke with Jonathan Livny, the founder of Israel Wagner Society, about his failed attempt to stage the first Wagner concert and break the seven-decade long boycott.
