Mio on the Down-Lo: Yawwwwn

If you're exhausted, craving another jolt of joe but want to avoid nervous nauseousness then enter the CAFFEINE ZONE. It's an app for iPhones and iPads that figures out your optimal caffeine levels for mental alertness then lets you know if you are in danger of slipping below it or into sleeplessness (at night). BUT how much caffeine is healthy? Despite being based on noted scientific studies, it advocates for a constant stream of java (tea, cola etc) equivalent to a large cuppa drip. I don't know...how about a good night's sleep? Or is that not enough?

Let's start with a little soothing music by playing this interactive video for Arcade Fire's SPRAWL 2.

Then let's play games:

PLAYFIC is a neat text-based game.
THE DARK ROOM is a similar yet weirder, video-based game.
And ABCINEMA tests your knowledge of film...don't blink.

This guy from Saskatchewan, while playing with toy construction trucks DUG OUT HIS BASEMENT over 7 years.

While Jeremy Lin plays his heart out for the Knicks you can play LIN WORDS. Not the best word generator maybe but it's amazing how many ways you can pun with Lin.

Nicolas Cage gets played with two ways:

The Onion introduces you to the MAN INSIDE THE CAGE while another video recaps Nic's 100 GREATEST QUOTES (nsfw).

Then play around with this thumbnail storytelling site called
COWBIRD.

And play the fourth and last installment in Kirby Ferguson's excellent EVERYTHING IS A REMIX series.
