Jian recently talked to singer-songwriter-pianist Tori Amos about her 12th studio album, Night of Hunters. For this record, she went back to her classical roots, having written a 21st century song cycle based on classical music spanning the last 400 years.
But while the sound is classical, the narrative is classic Tori Amos, steeped in themes of religion, female empowerment, creativity, shattered relationships and self-discovery.
