Today on Q, we kicked off our special series on the world of fashion with Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha. Throughout the season, you'll hear debates on controversies in the fashion industry, and feature interviews with influential designers, tastemakers, insiders and icons. (more...)
In this interview, Coco Rocha takes us behind the scenes and describes the grittier side of modelling; from girls being "poked and prodded like cattle" to the unrealistic and unhealthy pressure to be a certain size.
Coco says she speaks about these issues in hopes that up-and-coming models don't face the same pressures. Now, she's also helping young women in Cambodia with a new line of jewellery, where proceeds go directly towards rescuing victims of human trafficking.
