Today on the show, Jian announced the Canada Reads Top 40. A few weeks ago, the challenge was put to you to nominate, vote and campaign for the most essential Canadian novel of the past decade. Those books will become the basis of a special Canada Reads. And now, after thousands of votes and more than 400 books put up for the title, the Top 40 has been revealed -- full of well-known works but some real surprises too.
