Is pop culture dumbing down feminism?
Feminist icon Gloria Steinem was on the show today discussing Susan Faludi's provocative cover story for this months Harper's. In it, Faludi rings the alarm for feminism, claiming that older feminists don't understand and don't like their younger, pop-culture obsessed counterparts.
Gloria Steinem says it is possible to be both a feminist and a fan of Lady Gaga... What do you think? Are today's young feminists duped by pop culture into pointless pop protest? Is pop culture perverting the future of feminism? Or are today's feminist just updating the feminism of their mothers?
