Where do you stand on mixed martial arts?

This past weekend, news leaked that the Ontario provincial government would end the current ban on holding mixed martial arts competitions within Ontario's borders -- which is good news for the sport's major promoter, Ultimate Fighting Championship, who sees Toronto as their single biggest market in North America.
Today on Q, we talked to former UFC light-heavyweight champion (and best-selling author) Forrest Griffin. He said that people who oppose the sport because of the "extreme violence" don't know what they're talking about. What do you think? Should MMA be banned, or is it time to accept it as a serious sport?
